VP of Marketing, Gene Cornfield to Share How Retailers Can Fast-Track Mobile Success and Prepare for New Opportunities in Branded Currency

Cornfield will discuss the steps retailers can take to navigate a crowded field to realize success in mobile payments and loyalty today, while preparing for the new opportunities created by the near-$200 billion convergence of gift cards, offers, and loyalty programs –what is known as branded currency – in two sessions during the event. Attendees will leave with the ability to apply lessons-learned to their mobile marketing strategies and will gain an understanding of the power of branded currency to deepen customer relationships and increase retail sales in-store, online, and via mobile.

Gift Card Programs Gone Mobile, August 13, 3:30-4:30pm
Cornfield will join executives from Wrapp and Gyft on this panel that will explore the growth of mobile gift card programs. Moderated by Mercator Advisory Group’s Ben Jackson, the panel will explore the basics of building a mobile gift card program, how gift cards play an integral part in mobile marketing and customer loyalty, as well as best practices for implementing business-to-business gift card programs using mobile devices.

Mobile Gift Card and Prepaid Boot Camp: Making Gift Cards and Prepaid the Foundation of the Mobile Wallet, August 14, 1:00-2:30pm
In this boot camp session, Cornfield will provide retailers the practical roadmap for transforming gift cards to mobile payment cards, and mobile apps to branded wallets.  Joined by executives from Clutch and, Cornfield will explain how the convergence of gift cards, offers and loyalty programs will enable retailers and brands to influence and capture a greater share of consumer spending, increase frequency and loyalty, combat showrooming, and more.
