The Incentive Marketing Association (IMA) presented CashStar, the digital gifting and incentives company, and Aéropostale, a casual apparel retailer for young women and men, with its 2012 Circle of Excellence Award at the 2012 Motivation Show in Chicago, Ill. yesterday. The companies’ “Free eGift Card with Online Purchase” campaign won the Consumer Loyalty award category for successfully driving traffic to the Aéropostale e-commerce website, which contributed to the retailer’s total e-commerce sales growth in 2011.

The Aéropostale campaign, powered by CashStar, offered consumers a $25 eGift Card for every $100 purchase made online during the two-day promotion period in the 2011 holiday season. The promotion was featured on the homepage at www.aeropostale.com and communicated via a targeted email campaign to their CRM database. In addition, Aéropostale promoted the program on its social media channels, ensuring the offer could be shared from consumer to consumer.
